I put together this Wiki for 1 reason: To catalog everything that I have done with my server, so I can fix things when they break months after I did them. My memory is only so good.
If you can use this Wiki to help you in your own endeavors, that is awesome! However, this Wiki is by no means intended to be a step by step guide.
Every time I change something on my setup, or have to fix something new; I will be updating this Wiki. Again, like I said before; this is really just me keeping notes, not curating a guide. This Wiki has an assumption that you have a pretty good understanding of Linux, Docker and General I.T. If you have any questions about something specific, please feel free to reach out.
Throughout this Wiki, I have formatted each article to contain a consistent look a feel. Each article will keep this consistent formatting to ensure we are all on the same page. That formatting is as follows:
# code or commands that are intended to be run via command line look like thisLarger sections of code or a large string of commands will be listed in a code block like this.
If you were to use the navigation panel on the left, and followed each article from top to bottom… you would have a media server that looks about like mine. Obviously, not everybody need everything that I have. Because of this, I have broken up this Wiki into a few different sections:
I hope that the information I have put together here is helpful in some way for you, and that you have as much fun building your home lab/server setup as I did.
